It's true finding a deecnt arcade to practice is frustrating. It needs to have a welcoming atmosphere and a machine that's fun to play. And fun is key, regardless of one's skill level. If you were having fun on two foot songs then I would like to encourage you to play more! I was stuck at five-footers for a long time until that wall broke. Now I've hit the eight-foot wall but it's fun and trying higher difficulties isn't fulfilling for me. I've since moved to doubles heavy and have found my groove there.Other than doubles, there are a few other avenues for DDR players. The most common is reaching the highest possible difficulty. Another is perfect attack at various levels of play. Then there's freestyling which can include goals as simple as run from the machine at a song gap and get a drink of water before the next set of arrows. Finally, cardio exercise tends to be the primary goal for more casual players. by Twalib posted on Wednesday, December 23, 2015
